# Nebula Higgs Mechanism

The Higgs Mechanism is the mechanism that calculates and applies mass to all Nebula objects and particles. That translates to [real-time synchronization of roughly 100,000,000,000,000 particles](https://youtu.be/AoMHACMdUMg).
## Definitions
- The **Theory of Gravitational Predictability** is James Vertisan's theory, which details the application of the [Standard Model](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_Model) of physics, [General Relativity](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_relativity), [Quantum Mechanics](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_mechanics), and his Vertisan Wave Theory to the digital realm. It exposes and defines parallels between the physical universe and the digital universe; effectively applying the laws of physics to the digital realm in the scope of human behavior and networking.
- **gMass** is the abbreviation for **Gravitational Mass**, which is a value that is the combination of gravity, attraction, energy, and momentum for every particle and object in Nebula. Everything in Nebula has a gMass, and the gMass of every object has influence upon the gMass of surrounding objects, based upon its gravitational attraction.
- In the [Standard Model of Particle Physics](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Particle_physics), the **Higgs Field** is a quantum field that permeates all space.
- The **[Higgs Mechanism](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Higgs_mechanism)** refers to the generation of mass through particle interaction with the Higgs Field.
- A **unified atomic mass unit** is the symbol **u** in modern physics (**amu** has been deprecated since 1961)
- The **unified atomic mass unit** or **dalton** (symbol: u, or Da or amu) is a standard unit of mass that quantifies mass on an atomic or molecular scale (atomic mass). One [unified atomic mass unit](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atomic_mass_unit) is approximately the mass of one nucleon (either a single proton or neutron) and is numerically equivalent to 1 g/mol. Hydrogen is approximately 1u.
- **GeV** = Giga electron volts
- 1 u = approximately 1GeV/c²
- [**Mass-energy equivalance**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass–energy_equivalence) is defined by the equation E = mc² in Einstein's theory of [Special Relativity](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_relativity)
- A **Nebula Mass Unit** is represented by the symbol **nmu**
- 1 **nmu** = 1 **u** (one Nebula Mass Unit is equivalent to one atomic mass unit)
- A **Burst** is an energetic event in the Nebula
- **bMass** is the abbreviation of **Burst Mass**, which is a value representing the measurable energy of a burst energetic event in the Nebula, expressed in ***nmu***.
- **Quantum Entanglement** is a physical phenomenon that occurs when pairs or groups of particles are generated or interact in ways such that the quantum state of each particle cannot be described independently - instead, a quantum state must be described for the system as a whole.
- The [**enclosed volume of a sphere**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sphere#Enclosed_volume) is defined by the formula ν=(4/3)πr³ where **r** is the radius of the sphere
Our base 'elementary' mass will be 1-255, based upon the gMass of the producer. ie... A Protostar burst will have an elementary mass of **1 *nmu***, while a Pulsar will have an elementary mass of **±152 *nmu***. The basic physics is that "larger stars create heavier elements".
## gMass Calculation
**gMass** is calculated using
- An object's mass in ***nmu***
- Momentum in **GeV** (energy)
- Influencer latent mass in ***nmu***
- Bond strength and resilience in **GeV**
- Residual mass from nested objects in ***nmu***
- Residual energy from nested objects in **GeV**
- Dark matter in ***nδmu***
- Dark energy in ***δGeV***
- Object radioactive decay in **λ**
- Nebula coefficient in **ζ**
- Affecting particle's mass in ***nmu***
**No... I will not tell you how I calculate gMass**. That is a proprietary secret known only to me.
## Star Types
Personas and Clusters all start as a Protostar with a gMass of 0. Activity and content create energy, momentum, influence, and gravitational attraction. Those different types of energy convert into mass according to [mass-energy equivalence](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass–energy_equivalence). As gMass grows, the object graduates from one Star Type to the next. With a lack of activity and interest over time, objects will experience radioactive decay and potentially shrink to smaller Star Types.

## Organic Influence
- As a baseline, a Nudge should increase a particle's GeV by 1
- The energy of a Nudge is influenced by the gMass of the inducer
## Artificial Influence
- Dark Matter can be purchased for $0.01 per ***nδmu***.
- Dark Matter experiences radioactive decay at the rate of **λ**
## Disclosures
The **Nebula Coefficient** is a decimal value which is currently set to 0.0. There is no upper or lower limit to the range for the Coefficient's value. Adjustments to the Coefficient value will allow Nebula to be 'tuned' in the future without rebuilding the Higgs Mechanism.
## gMass 'Average User' Red Dwarf Example
There's a lot more going on, but here's some quick calculations for purpose of example:
100 followers x 0.1 = 10
100 posts x 100 = 10K
0.2 comments x 100 posts x 10 = 200
20 nudges x 100 = 2K
**±12K *nmu*** = Red Dwarf star
## gMass 'Katy Perry' Quasar Example
There's a lot more going on, but here's some quick calculations for purpose of example:
70M followers x 0.1 = 7M
1M followers (3xst) x 0.01 = ±1M
1M post views x 1000 x 0.01 = 10M
1M likes x 1000 posts = 1B
10K comments x 1000 posts x 10 = 100M
1000 posts x 250 (st12) x 100 = 25M
**±1.5B** *nmu* = Quasar star
## gMass of the Nebula
- The gMass of the entire Nebula is 2^64 *nmu*, which is **18,446,744,073,709,551,616 *nmu*** (±18 Quintillion)
- Nebula will be worth approximately $1 for every 200K *nmu* of organic gMass.
